This consultation provides a structured space to talk through your child’s learning, identify what may be getting in the way, and explore practical next steps.
It is designed for parents seeking clarity about their child’s learning needs, possible gaps, executive functioning, suitable approaches, or options such as flexible schooling, part-time attendance or home education.
We can also help you make sense of an Educational Psychologist report, school assessment or other professional advice, and consider how to apply the recommendations in everyday learning, at home or in discussions with school.
What we can explore
The session is tailored to what feels most useful for you. We might discuss:
· How things have been recently and what feels most difficult
· Your child’s current learning, strengths and possible barriers
· Reading, writing, maths and day-to-day learning at home
· Executive functioning, including starting, organising, focusing, remembering and following through
· Interest-led ideas to make learning more motivating
· Home education routines, flexible options or part-time schooling, if relevant
· Helpful local services, resources and next steps
If executive functioning is a main concern, we can also discuss whether executive functioning support may be a helpful next stage.
