Educational transition periods can be a challenging time for neurodiverse students. Out of the Box Teaching aims to identify misunderstandings in a student’s learning and address them at the earliest stages. This helps to promote the child’s learning in the best way possible for them.

Out of the Box Teaching aims to find an effective and enjoyable learning journey for every student. Both of our bespoke tutoring and coaching programmes are designed to improve the learning and well-being of students as well as support them through a difficult transition period.

Confidence coaching for children and young people (Building Blocks to Effective Learning Programme) focuses on building a strong foundation for cognition and learning and provides empowering strategies for executive functioning, self-advocacy and confidence to express themselves.

Tuition and coaching for children and young people (Maths and English confidence package) provides extensive support with managing change and educational transitions and aims to improve Maths and English and other academic skills providing appropriate support to bridge the learning gaps.

If preparation for school exams is included, students are guided to understanding thought processes and developing their learning strategies and study skills.

Art, movement, motivational activities, interest-led projects, real-life scenarios and educational games are used to promote the use of student’s creativity, communication skills and positive self-perception. We also work on developing the student’s sensory needs, coordination and motor skills.

Empowering strategies and learning how to express themselves so the students can feel confident communicating with friends and peers support the optimal development of social, emotional and mental health as well as communication and interaction with the world around them.
